What is MakeItMe.net/Get Fit - Get Rewarded about?
A – Our goal is to encourage people to move more and sit less everyday. Encouragements are rewards offered to our members by our advertisers. Members pay a small amount to belong and receive increased fitness along with the incentives they earn. Advertisers pay MakeItMe.net a small amount to advertise on the site and receive the opportunity to earn the business of our members who are all interested in a healthier lifestyle.

I can't log on with the membership code I was given
A- When you registered you created your own password. Use that one and not the 8 digit pass code from your employer or health club. [Back to top]
My reward certificate prints a large black rectangle instead of my reward.
A - The certificates are a color file and some printers have problems rendering correctly. Set your printer to print grayscale (not "print color as black") and you should be fine.

How many challenges can I do simultaneously?
A – We recommend one at a time. If you finish 2 almost simultaneously your goody bags will be identical – robbing you of some of the variety that you expect from us.

Do I have to do this online or is there another way?
A – You can print a copy of the challenge map and mark it to show your progress. But the coupons, goody bags and reward drawings are only available through the web site. You can enter all your daily totals at one time – they don’t have to be entered daily. Read the next question and response.

Do I have to enter my totals every day?
A – You can enter your daily totals on whatever schedule is convenient for you. Just enter the date then the total, press “go” then enter the next date and total etc. Repeat until you’ve entered all the days. Remember, you can enter a maximum of 4 hours for any one day and you can enter information only once for that day.

Can I lie about my time?
A – Do I look like your mother? Of course you can lie. Doesn’t help your fitness level and it’s pretty bad for your karma but…your choice.

A – 20 to 24 on average

A – Our goal is to add a new challenge approximately every 6 to 8 weeks.

What if I’m not happy/don’t like the challenge/entire website?
A – You get your membership fee back. Go to our contact page, tell us what you don’t like and we’ll refund your unused membership fee.

What if I’m not sure how much I moved today.
A – If you chose a farther than usual parking spot, give yourself 5 minutes. If you took the stairs instead of the elevator give yourself 5 more. Did you walk around the block after dinner? Swim some laps, lift weights? Anything you did today that promoted good health counts. Walking to the break room to get another Danish doesn’t count (unless you usually send someone else to get one for you).

Usually I track how many steps I walk/run, is there an easy way to convert?
A – 2000 steps is about 15 minutes of moderate activity. If your pedometer reads 8000 steps after a day that did not include heavy activity (no running or jogging) enter 60 minutes.

How do I enter a drawing?
A – It is automatic, you don’t have to do anything except complete your challenge. Every time we have 1000 people who finish a challenge our computer generates that list and a random drawing selects names that win a prize.

How do I know what rewards I’ve earned?
A- Click on “My Membership Page” located at the bottom of the page in the string of text above the copyright notice. Each time you earn a reward it is placed in your “My Rewards” box on this page. The reward certificate is stored with the expiration date (generally 14 days); so print and use the certificates soon after you earn them.

How do I use my reward certificates?
A- Go to “My Rewards Page”, double click the reward, print it and take it to the sponsoring merchant. Some rewards may require a reservation so please read the certificate carefully. All rewards are one-use only and non-transferable. Take Identification as merchants may double check the name on the certificate and your ID.

How do I request a goody bag?
A – You don’t have to do a thing. When you finish your challenge your name is added to that week’s mailing list and your bag is filled and mailed.

Someone saw my password and I’m no longer secure.
A. They can only do two mean things; change your password or add more time. Go to your membership page and change your own password. If it no longer works email us and we’ll change it for you and send you a new one.

I worked out longer than the time the system lets me enter.
A. Good for you, if this is fairly rare just add the unentered time to your next rest day’s time. If this happens often please email us so we can put you on the list for a different map.
